OVTA Grant GuidelinesPurpose of OVTA Grants: To promote the growth of the game of tennis through the utilization of the USTA Pathway Programs.
1. All organizations requesting financial assistance are required to be a USTA Organizational Member. Payments for approved grants will be made in two parts, the first payment upon approval of the request. Non-member organizations that apply for and receive grants will have the cost of membership deducted from the first half of their grant request.
2. All organizations and/or individuals that receive an OVTA grant are to provide written reports on the funded tennis activity. This report must include a complete expense report and may include photographs or other supplementary information. The report must be submitted by October 15, 2005. The OVTA office must receive this report by this deadline in order for the grant recipient to receive the second half payment of the awarded grant.
3. Decisions to fund grant applications will be decided by a majority vote of the Ohio Valley Tennis Association Grant Committee.
4. Grant requests for programs utilizing USA Tennis 1-2-3, USA Team Tennis for children or adults, USA League Tennis and requests promoting Community Tennis Association and Park and Recreation development will be considered before all other requests.
5. The Ohio Valley Tennis Association Grant Committee will also consider financial need when awarding grants.
6. The Ohio Valley Tennis Association Grant Committee will also consider the ability of programs to be become self-sustaining when awarding grants.
