Brooks Naffziger, age 77, beloved husband and father, died suddenly at his home on Monday, December 6, 2004. He was born in Salina, Kansas. He was educated at The Blake School in Minneapolis, received mechanical and industrial engineering degrees from Yale University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. He was a Professional Engineer in Ohio. He retired from O.M. Scott Co. of Marysville in 1990. He served in the Navy during World War II as an Aviation Electronic Technician's Mate, Third Class. Brooks loved sports, especially football, wrestling, tennis and skiing. He played varsity football and wrestling at Yale. He organized the silver, platinum and diamond tennis leagues for the Greater Columbus Tennis Association where he was a board member. He was an avid bridge player and was a long-time member of two duplicate bridge clubs. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eleanore Naffziger; son and daughter-in-law, William and Colleen Naffziger; daughter, Deborah Naffziger; daughter and son-in-law, Lucinda and Stafford Noble; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Steve Miller; step granddaughter, Tiffany Waltz and step-great grandson, LaJerrin Waltz, all of Columbus. Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2004 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday until time of service. Pastor Marvin Bean will officiate. A private interment will be held in Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Arthur Morgan School, 60 AMS Circle, Burnsville, N.C. 28714 in his memory.
