7. Mixed Leagues
Doug Snapp reported for league director Phil Davis. The mixed doubles

8. OVTA
Chair, Carol Alexander, reports the Girls 16's Districts was held June
13-17th in Columbus. Tournament Director, Carol, ran a full draw with no
alternate spots available. There were 13 refunds from touch tone tennis.
No financial report was available at this time. Carol mentioned the greatest
difficulty was with the amount of rain they had.
Deb Thallman requested the board approve the amount of $2,760 to cover
the entry fees for the adult OVTA District tournaments. Deb explained that
the large increase was because the tournament has lost between $2,000 and
$3,000 in the past. The team fees are as follows: $280 for 3.5 and 4.0
teams, $120 for 5.0 teams and $240 for all other levels. Gary Alexander
requested a list of all team members who are also GCTA members. After much
discussion, Gary Alexander entertains a motion to give the $2000 that was
budgeted for entry fees to the Columbus participants for the adult OVTA
District tournament. Jake Will seconds and the majority of the members
approved. The motion passes. Gary added that Bob Hilborn should communicate
to all USTA team captains that players must also be members of the GCTA
to warrant our support.

kids playing increase. Currently there are 5 teams.
The City Tournament is currently going on, now called the Central Ohio
