The GCTA Supports Tennis
Richard W. "Rich" Irion, age 59, of Columbus, died Friday, December 3, 2004.
Survived by wife, Leslie S. Irion; sons, Todd (Elaine) Irion of Dublin, OH and Chris (Tonia)
Irion of Dublin; daughter, Robin Irion of Lewis Center, OH; six grandchildren, Kendall, Colton,
Olivia, Payton, Max and Isabelle; brother, Phil (Sandy) Irion of Lansing, MI. Mr. Irion was a 1963
graduate of North High School and a 1971 graduate of Franklin University. He was an equipment
salesman with Dravo Marks and All Crane Rental. Along with his wife Leslie was owner operator of
Leslie's Bagels and most recently employed by Wexner Farms Stables. Rich was one of the original
team members of Locker Room Old Timers fast pitch softball team as well as serving as team Captain
for various competitive tennis teams and a prominent member of the GCTA . He was also a loyal
OSU "Buckeye" fan The family will receive friends 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Monday at
SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High Street (1/2 mile South of I-270), where funeral
service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2004. Fr. Ron Baird presiding. Interment to
follow at Union Cemetery. Throughout his life Rich gave unselfishly to family and friends. He was
truly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. His caring spirit will remain in our hearts
