USTA League Tennis provides adult recreational tennis players throughout the Columbus area with the opportunity to compete against players of similar ability levels. Be a part of a team. Meet new people. Play new opponents. Participate in competitive tennis. Travel to matches and championships. Challenge and improve your game. Have fun!

GCTA Summer League Gearing Up

Summer League captains should plan on attending ONE of the meetings on Wednesday, May 14th! GCTA fees and final rosters are due for both the Men’s & Women’s teams.

Meeting times are 9:00 – 11:00 am, 1:00 – 3:00 pm OR 7:00 – 9:00 pm. All are held at the Upper Arlington Municipal Building, 3600 Tremont Road, Columbus, 43221.


USTA Summer Adult Leagues

It is not too early to be thinking about USTA Summer Adult Leagues - "Find Yourself in the Game". Combo, Mixed 18 & Over, Adult 55 & Over, and Adult 65 & Over leagues play matches in the Columbus area from June until August.  FLEX Singles leagues are offered in two summer sessions - June/July and August/September.

There were 941 men playing on 69 teams in the Men's League this summer.

Ohio State University Men's Tennis Team vs. University of Georgia

The tennis community came out in mass to cheer on the OSU Men's team against Georgia on Sunday, February 3. Over 500 fans attended the event which OSU won, 5-2.

At the time of the match, OSU was ranked 4th in the nation and Georgia was 6th.

Several central Ohio players are on the OSU team. They include: Chris Diaz (in the picture), Peter Kobelt, and Kevin Metka. Niki Flower is on the OSU Women's team.

For the upcoming schedules of the OSU Men's and Women's teams, please click on the above links. During inclement weather, the matches will be at the Varsity Indoor Tennis Center. When spring weather arrives, the matches will be held at the new Varsity Tennis Courts outdoors facility. Admission is free.
